We are very impressed with the Pursuit II muzzleloader. It is proving to be a very good shooting muzzleloader, comparable to guns costing twice as much. Several of our customers have achieved three shot groups of just over an inch with the Pursuit II. One of our staff members has shot several 1 1/2 inch groups with his Pursuit. The load he is using is two 50 grain Triple 7 pellets and a T/C 250 grain Shockwave bullet.

One feature that we really like in the Pursuit II is the new Accelerator quick breech plug. It has large, highly tapered threads that allow the plug to be completly removed in just a few turns. We prefer the Traditions plug to the Thompson Center Speed Breech XT plug for several reasons. The first is that the plug in the Pursuit II does not require any o-rings, a part that is easily worn or lost on the Thompson Center plug. Another reason to prefer the Traditions breech plug is the large size of the threads. They have a substantial "body" which makes them harder to damage when removing for cleaning.

The unique knurled head makes it easy to remove with just three rotations. It incorporates a built in 209 holder. Flat face and heavy duty o-ring provide reliable ignition and reduced blow back. Leupold QR CVA & Traditions Pursuit 2-pc

The QR Mount promises repeatable accuracy. Super-close machining tolerances are at the heart of this patented lever mechanism. By turning the lever forward, an eccentric on the lever shaft engages the base of the ring. This pulls the ring down and forward on the base, locking it solidly into its "zero" position.
